How do I get my A-level results?

Your school or college gives you your results on Thursday 12 August 2027. Each centre decides how (in person, by email or online) and what time, so check with them before the summer.

If you applied to university through UCAS, your university or college confirms whether you have a place once it has your results. Have your UCAS login ready on the day.

GCSE results follow a week later, on Thursday 19 August 2027.

Clearing 2027

Clearing matches students to university places that are still available. For 2027 entry, UCAS sets these dates:

  • Wednesday 30 June 2027, 6pm: applications received after this go straight into Clearing.
  • Friday 2 July 2027: Clearing opens for eligible applicants, who can also release themselves into it.
  • Thursday 23 September 2027: final date for 2027 entry applications.
  • Monday 18 October 2027: last date to add a Clearing choice.

Unhappy with a grade?

You can ask your school or college to request a review of marking from the exam board. Each board sets its own deadlines. For AQA's June 2027 exams:

  • Priority review, by Thursday 19 August 2027: for A-level and AS students whose university place depends on the outcome.
  • Standard review, by Friday 24 September 2027.

Pearson Edexcel and OCR publish their deadlines on their own sites (Pearson, OCR). Your exams officer will know them.
