Feedback from throughout myA2 media production tasks -Feedback was provided bydifferent groupsDuring PostProductionFocus Group Feedback- Our choiceof music was effective as itbought tension to the sceneswhich required it and the pace ofthe music matched that of the filmitself. I learnt that my choices ofmusic matches the scenes wellenough to evoke a connectionbetween the character of Thomasand the audience.Target Audience Feedback-When editing, I was told thatusing sound layering waseffective in bringing about aconnection to the character. The white noise sound effectkept up the mystery genreespecially.Film PosterTarget Audience Feedback - Mostpeople knew the genre was a mysteryor a drama film. They recognised thephoto on the poster from the locationat the end of the film. Learnt thatbranding in my production tasks waseffective.Teacher Feedback -Learnt to choose animage which madethe plot and genre ofthe film clearer. Alsoto attach a brand tomy project. An imagewhich was similarthroughout [the finalscene location] wasidentifiable to theaudience.DuringProductionTeacher and Target Audience Feedback - As mygroup went through our footage, feedback wereceived from our teacher and our target audiencetold us that we required multiple re-shoots ofmost of our scenes after our original shoot. Thiswas either because of lighting, camera shot andangle and meant that we had to organise ourgroup to get quick re-shooting done and to thebest we could. We fixed a few of our shots byadding match-on-action to the scene as thismeant we could add more shots to our film. Here is an image to show thecomparison in our re-shooting, aslearnt by feedback. The left image isthe first shot we did. The right is there-shoot in which we make Thomas'character the main feature, whilst thefemale characters where clearly notthe main characters. * [Image is onBlog]Online Feedback - When developing theidea of the film I used the website'LogLine.it' to gain feedback from ouroriginal log line and how I could developthe story.Scriptwriter Feedback - A a group we used the opportunityof talking to a professional scriptwriter [Dudi Appleton] whotold us about how we needed to make sure the plot of outfilm was set in stone and to change things about how theplot is revealed to the audience. From this we learnt weneeded to show the audience important plot points at thestart of the film: The stolen phone in the first show and theuse of the word 'thief' in the second scene.Editor Feedback - Changes needed tobe made to the positions ofcharacters, especially in the kitchenscene as the height difference of theactors made the shot look uneven anda lack on flow occurred between shots.Branding Expert Feedback - After talking to a contact whoworks in the branding industry, I found that having a strongbrand and look in all elements of my project would 'allowthem to be instantly recognisable'.Film Magazine SpreadTarget Audience Feedback - The layout ofthe magazine looked professional andadded to the look of the film. Make itappear less like a student film.Teacher Feedback - When looking through ourfootage, we also found that there were somecontinuity editing breaks, as we broke the 180degree rule and 30 degree rule a few times.During re-shoots we repeated shots to keepwithin the 180 degree rule.Target Audience Feedback - Whenwatching the film, it was suggested wemake a lot of changes to the audio ofthe film, as there was continuous jumpsand cut between shots in terms of theaudio. It was suggested that I usetransitions to blend the audio together.Double click this nodeto edit the textClick and drag this buttonto create a new node
